I have still a way to go to complete this project we have finished the front end that is the front shocks and front wheel. i managed to find a Honda CB400N front end which not only is the right size and length but also felt right in terms of compressing and rebound. the forks are a 33mm in stead of the 35mm i had from the CB750, these were substantially longer and a whole lot heavier. fortunately Johan from Wayne Heasemen racing managed to locate some new spokes for me order them and 2 weeks later hey they arrived. thanks guys. its a good thing that my son Josh works at a bicycle shop, between myself and him we got all the spokes in thier correct place aswell as true the wheel. it looked really awesome .
i am hoping to get a suzuki gamma exhaust and modify this slightly so as to get that underslung racing exhaust , there is still lots out standing so just keep watching this space .
Hi Andre...
ReplyDeleteI met your son, Josh, at Full Throttle today... Nice looking bike you guys are building there! I too have been building a cafe racer and have been doing most things myself... Mine's a GS425... Have a look at the two links and you can see how i've been getting on... I'm keen to see more of your build, looks good!
